பிரதமரின் எப்.எம்.இ., திட்டம் 

மாவட்டத்திற்கு ஒரு பொருள் சிறு, குறுந்தொழில் நிறுவனங்களிடையே புதிய தொழில்நுட்பத்தை கொண்டு வருவது மற்றும் சந்தை விற்பனையை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காக பிரதமரின் எப்.எம்.இ., திட்டம் செயல்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

மத்திய அரசின் உணவுசார்ந்த குறுந்தொழில்களுக்கான (பி.எம். எப்.எம்.இ.,) திட்டம் சிறு, குறுந்தொழில் நிறுவனங்களுக்கு வரப்பிரசாதமாக உள்ளது. ஜூன் 2020ல் துவங்கப்பட்ட இந்த திட்டத்தில் பிரதமரின் ஆத்மநிர்பார் திட்டம் ஒரு பகுதியாக உள்ளது.புதிய தொழில்நுட்பத்தை கொண்டு வரும் முயற்சியாகவும், சந்தை விற்பனையை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காகவும் இத்திட்டம் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. இதன் மூலம் சிறு, குறு நிறுவனங்கள் தங்கள் தொழில் வளர்ச்சிக்கான 35 சதவீத மானியம் அதிகபட்சமாக ரூ.10 லட்சம் வரை பெறலாம். புதிதாக தொழில் துவங்குபவர்கள், தொழிலை விரிவுபடுத்துபவர்கள் திட்டமதிப்பில் 10 சதவீத சுயமுதலீடு செய்ய வேண்டும்.

குறிப்பாக கிராமப்புறங்களில் உள்ள சிறு சிறு உணவு, பேக்கரி, பிஸ்கட், தின்பண்டங்கள் சார்ந்த தொழில் நிறுவனங்கள் இதன் மூலம் முன்னேறலாம். கிராமப்புற தொழில் முனைவோர் தயாரிக்கும் உணவுப் பொருள் தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனங்களுக்கு தங்களது சந்தையை விரிவுபடுத்தும் தொழில்நுட்பம் மற்றும் வணிக ஆதரவு வழங்கப்படுகிறது. அதிகபட்சமாக 2 லட்சம் குறு நிறுவனங்களுக்கு மானிய கடன் வழங்கப்பட உள்ளது. இத்திட்டத்தின் சிறப்பம்சமாக மாவட்டத்திற்கு ஒரு தயாரிப்பு என்ற வகையில் உற்பத்தி விளைபொருட்கள் அடையாளம் காணப்படுகின்றன.

மாவட்டத்தில் கிடைக்கும் மூலப்பொருட்கள் அங்கு ஏற்கனவே உள்ள தொழில் கூட்டமைப்பு ஆகியவற்றின் அடிப்படையில் ஒவ்வொரு மாவட்டத்திற்கும் ஒரு விளைபொருள் பட்டியலிடப்பட்டுஉள்ளது. மா, உருளைக்கிழங்கு, லிச்சி, தக்காளி, மரவள்ளிக்கிழங்கு, அப்பளம், ஊறுகாய், தினை சார்ந்த பொருட்கள், மீன்வளம், கோழி, இறைச்சி மற்றும் விலங்குகளின் தீவனம் என உணவு சார்ந்த தொழில்களுக்கு மானியகடன் பெற முக்கியத்துவம் அளிக்கப்படுகிறது.

Govt. studying evidence on vaccine booster doses. No recommendations from WHO, NTAGI or NEGVAC yet

 Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Bharati Pravin Pawar has stated that the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (NTAGI) and National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration for COVID (NEGVAC) are deliberating and considering scientific evidence related to booster doses.

“So far, no specific recommendation regarding COVID-19 vaccine booster dose has been made by NTAGI or NEGVAC. There are at present no recommendations on booster dose from the World Health Organization,” she said in the Rajya Sabha earlier this week. The vaccines have been developed very recently and, therefore, scientific evidence was still evolving globally on the duration of protection.

Dr. Pawar said that the current isolation, quarantine, treatment, and other public health measures remained valid in case of reinfection too.

The currently available information on COVID-19 was not adequate enough to tell the difference between persistent virus shedding and reinfection, and testing positive more than once does not necessarily indicate reinfection, the Health Ministry said in response to a question.

Dr. Pawar noted that there were cases of reinfection. She pointed out that studies on SARS-CoV-2 reinfection had been published in the journal of Epidemiology and Infection. “The study has concluded that while COVID-19 reinfection is still rarely reported, nonetheless, immunity should not be assumed and public health measures such as physical distancing, hand hygiene and use of masks should be followed after recovery from the first event of infection,” she asserted.

Sing, record national anthem': PM Modi plays up 'Rashtragaan' portal ahead of Independence Day

The Centre has created an online portal for this purpose, the Prime Minister said, rashtragaan.in, where anyone can record and upload their own videos singing the national anthem.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the "rashtra gaan" government portal ahead of Independence Day. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged citizens to sing the national anthem on Independence Day, August 15, to create a "rashtra gaan" record. He said that it's an effort on part of the Union ministry of culture to get the "maximum number of Indians" to sing the national anthem together.

The initiative is being taken by the central government under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, PM Modi said while addressing his Mann Ki Baat monthly radio programme.

The Centre has created an online portal for this purpose, the Prime Minister said, rashtragaan.in, where anyone can record and upload their own videos singing the national anthem. "Let us target more than 75 lakhs of our citizens," a government notification declared. "Let us create a record on 15th August 2021."

Tamil Nadu makes two vaccine doses must for industrial employees

 

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu health department on Saturday issued guidelines on Covid-appropriate behaviour for workplaces, industries, and factories. In a notification issued by the Directorate of Public Health and Prevention Medicine, all the district health officials and Chennai Corporation officials have been asked to ensure that workplaces are screening their staff while they enter their premises.

All staff and family members must be vaccinated with two doses and companies must appoint a qualified health inspector at their own cost for monitoring and coordinating health activities in the premises. A Covid-19 health team must be created on the premises and awareness measures must be held, the guidelines state.

Also, according to the guidelines, the screening process must include asking the employee for any Covid-19 related symptoms, if family members have symptoms, checking body temperature and checking if the staff is quarantined for having symptoms. 

Secondly, the guidelines say that mask-wearing is mandatory at all workplaces, and administrations must monitor mask compliance through supervisors and managers, including CCTV monitoring. “Anyone without masks must be sent out of the workplace,” it says. 

The guidelines insist on maintaining social distancing, hand-washing facilities, and hand sanitation as well. In canteen and dining area, the workers must be divided into groups and meals and tea timings should be split across the groups. “Sufficient distancing should be maintained in dining hall and zig-zag, or alternate seating arrangements shall be adhered to,” guidelines read. In quarters and dorms, Covid appropriate behaviour must be followed and if anyone is found symptomatic, action must be taken.

National Land bank portal Industrial Information system was launched. Portal Link : https://iis.ncog.gov.in/parks As much as 4.2 lakh hectares of land has been mapped across 3,275 industrial clusters in India, of which about 1.13 lakh hectares of land is available for investors, as the government looks to lure investors at a time when anti-China sentiments are growing globally. Investors will also get access to details of logistics, land, rail & air connectivity, tax incentives, drainage system, power supply and raw material availability from the portal on various industrial belts. To start with, extensive information about industrial belts in six states is available on the portal. Goyal expressed confidence that all states will be on board by December. Nevertheless, broad details of land availability across 31 states and Union Territories are also part of the portal now. The minister said the portal is a prototype only and will be developed further with inputs from states the IIS portal is a GIS-enabled database of industrial areas/clusters across the states. More than 3,300 industrial parks across 31 States/UTs covering about 475,000 hectares land have been mapped on the System. The information available includes forest, drainage; raw material heat maps (agricultural, horticulture, mineral layers); multiple layers of connectivity, and National GIS-enabled Land.

CoWIN App - Backbone of Vaccination Drive

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed the CoWin Global Conclave as India offered the CoWIN platform as a digital public good to the world to combat COVID19. Prime Minister said that given the importance of vaccination, India decided to adopt a completely digital approach while planning its vaccination strategy. Through CoWin, India has administered 350 million doses of Covid vaccines, including 9 million people in one day, few days ago. Furthermore, vaccinated people do not need to carry around fragile pieces of paper to prove anything. It is all available in digital format.
